Susan L. Meade is a retired senior vice president in the government affairs group, where she has responsibility for legislative and political issues on the federal and state levels.
She began her career with the bank at Manufacturers Hanover where, at the time of the merger with Chemical Bank, she headed the federal government affairs group. Before joining the bank, Ms. Meade served on the staff of U.S. Senator Hugh Scott (R-PA), Representative Edward G. Biester (R-PA) and the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives. She holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Meade is an Associate Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women, where she serves on the Executive Committee. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Atlantic Legal Foundation and serves on the Board of VIEWPAC (Value in Electing Women) and the Finance Board of the Ripon Society.
Ms. Meade and her husband, Forest C. Meade, reside in Bronxville, New York and are the parents of three children.
