Michael S. Nadel is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Michael has extensive experience counseling and litigating matters for companies in all stages of development, from Fortune 100 public corporations to start-ups. He has handled numerous jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and injunction and contempt proceedings in federal and state courts around the country and in the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Additionally, Michael has an active appellate practice. He has argued before numerous federal and state courts of appeals. He has handled cases at the certiorari and merits stages before the United States Supreme Court and has assisted clients with cases in nearly every federal court of appeals in the country.
Michael is committed to pro bono representation and regularly accepts federal district court appointments. Michael is also active in his community. He serves on the board of director of Repair the World, a national service organization, and is an ambassador for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. He is a past national board member and local chairman of B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO), and serves on the advisory council of the Atlantic Legal Foundation.
Michael is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland, and before the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Federal and D.C. Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of Illinois, the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
