Robert E. Juceam is a litigation partner resident in Fried Frank’s New York office. He joined the firm in 1966 and became a partner in 1974. From 1995 to 2001, he chaired the litigation department in the Washington, DC office. With 38 years of civil and white-collar criminal law litigation and investigation experience, Mr. Juceam has defended public companies and directors of public companies charged with federal securities and Investment Company Act violations, conducted private investigations parallel to federal regulatory law enforcement proceedings and served as lead counsel or principal investigator in internal corporate and special litigation committee investigations. He is a former federal court law clerk and member and cochair of bar committees on professional and judicial ethics. Mr. Juceam’s diverse general litigation experience includes lead responsibility in mediation and alternative dispute resolution and judicial proceedings including cases involving commercial contracts, merger and acquisition litigation, defense of securities-class action claims, FOIA litigation, administrative and constitutional law, litigation against the federal government, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, employment, immigration and naturalization, criminal law, matrimonial law, defense of attorneys and architects in malpractice and bar disciplinary claims, intellectual property and unfair competition.
