Atlantic Legal presented its fifteenth Annual Award to Henry A. (Hank) McKinnell, Jr., Ph.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pfizer Inc, at a reception and banquet held at The Ritz- Carlton New York, Battery Park on Wednesday, June 26, 2002. Pfizer is the world’s largest research-based pharmaceutical company. The Foundation’s Annual Award honors a person who exemplifies the ideals and principles of public service and private enterprise. In addition to serving Pfizer in positions of increasing responsibility for more than 30 years, Dr. McKinnell is a member of the Board of Directors of Moody’s Corporation, John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and The Business Roundtable. He is chairman-emeritus of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and the Business-Higher Education Forum. He recently was appointed by President Bush as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and is a director of The Business Council, the Royal Shakespeare Company America, the Japan Society, and chairman of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Advisory Council. He is Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the New York City Public Library, the New York City Police Foundation, Channel Thirteen/ WNET, and the John F.
