Augustus Gus duPont - Vice Chairman of Atlantic Legal Foundation

Mr. duPont is retired as the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Crane Co., a NYSE-listed diversified manufacturer of engineered industrial products that celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2005.

Prior to joining Crane Co., Mr. duPont served as General Counsel of Reeves Industries, Inc., a privately-held diversified textile manufacturer (1994-1995), and Sprague Technologies, Inc., a NYSE-listed manufacturer of electronic components (1987-1993), as Assistant General Counsel of the Penn Central Corporation, a NYSE-listed diversified manufacturer of industrial, telecommunications and defense products and a distributor of oil and gas products (1984-1987), and an associate with the firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom (1978-1984).

A graduate of Kent School, Kent, Connecticut in 1969, Mr. duPont received his A.B. degree in history from Stanford University in 1975 and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1978.
