ALF Elects Four New Board Members, Appoints a New Advisory Council Member, and Elects a New Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer

ALF Chairman & President Dan Fisk is especially pleased to announce that four new Directors were elected to the Board of Directors at ALF’s Annual Meeting on February 24, 2022 . . . two elevated from ALF’s Advisory Council, one rejoining the Board, and one new to our Leadership Team along with a new appointee to the Advisory Council.

New Directors and Advisory Council Member

From our Advisory Council . . .

Lawrence G. McMichael, Chairman-Dilworth Paxson in Philadelphia; and

Ana Tagvoryan, Partner & Co-Chair of Litigation and Class Action Defense – BlankRome in Los Angeles.

And rejoining our leadership team after a few years hiatus following many years of service as a Senior Legal Officer at Walmart and in private practice . . .

Thomas E. Evans, Senior Vice President, and Legal Counsel – North American Transportation/XPO Logistics, Inc., in Charlotte, North Carolina.

And new to our leadership team . . .

Alex G. Romain, Senior Litigation Partner – Milbank LLP in Los Angeles.

Chairman Fisk also announced the earlier appointment of John R. Kouris to ALF’s Advisory Council. For twenty-two years John served as the Executive Director of DRI – a 20,000-member organization of civil defense lawyers, corporations, and corporate counsel.

Congratulations to each of these new Board of Directors and Advisory Council Members, whose respective photos and fulsome bios are presented in our newly upgraded Atlantic Legal Foundation website. The Board of Directors and Advisory Council provide important guidance to the Foundation, including on emerging legal issues and pending cases in connection with the Foundation’s amicus curiae program.

The Board also paid tribute to its long-serving Directors Philip R. Sellinger, who necessarily resigned from the ALF Board upon his recent appointment as the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, and Frank R. Jimenez, who after serving as the Vice President and General Counsel of Raytheon Technologies Corporation, and earlier as the 21st General Counsel of the Navy, joined the Board of Directors of Huntington Ingalls (the largest military shipbuilder in the U.S.), and on February 21st was appointed the global Vice President and General Counsel of GE Healthcare; Frank resigned from ALF’s Board to afford more time for his new responsibilities.

Chairman Fisk expressed hope that Mr. Jimenez will rejoin ALF’s Board after becoming fully entrenched in his new positions within a few years and thanked both Phil and Frank for their dedicated and valuable contributions to ALF’s success.

Treasury Officers Succession

Chairman Fisk also commended Director David Wood for his distinguished service as Treasurer for over seven years and congratulated Director/Assistant Treasurer, Nevin Sanli for his elevation to Treasurer succeeding Director Wood in the interest of sharing and broadening experience within the leadership team.  Director Marco Rossi was elected Assistant Treasurer, succeeding Director Sanli.
