At a gala dinner at the Metropolitan Club in New York City on April 2, Atlantic Legal Foundation presented its 26th Annual Award to Bill Nuti, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of NCR Corporation. Founded in 1884 as the National Cash Register Company, NCR has transformed itself, under Mr. Nutis leadership, into the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, enabling more than 485 million transactions daily across retail, financial, travel, hospitality, telecom and technology, and small business.

At the dinner Atlantic Legal also presented its fifth Lifetime Achievement Award to Evan R. Chesler, Chairman of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Mr. Chesler, one of the most highly regarded trial attorneys in the nation, joined Cravath in 1976 and became partner in 1982. He became head of the Litigation Department in 1996. Mr. Chesler was elected Deputy Presiding Partner in November 2005, Presiding Partner in January 2007 and Chairman in January 2013, the first person to be given that title in the Firms history.
